  • Paid just under $2230 in matching funds with Kansas Wildlife and Parks to Cheyenne, Sherman, & Wallace Counties which was our share of the MOA funds administered through the conservation districts by Wildlife & Parks.
  • Awarded a $1000 grant from the State Conservation Commission for habitat work administered through Wildlife & Parks.
  • Funded 1 wildlife guzzler in Wallace County which concluded this program approved in 2005.
  • Provided money for 2 tree plantings

2006

  • Planted and/or provided seed for just over 130 acres of food plots
  • Performed strip disking and interseeded legume mix on 371 acres with cooperation of Wildlife & Parks
  • Performed 75 acres of strip disking in CRP
  • Performed 50 acres of Legume interseeding in CRP
  • Cost shared 3 wildlife guzzlers
  • Purchased a Truax grass drill to go along with our tree planter and fabric machine
  • Cheyenne County received the majority of the CRP enhancement
  • Sherman County received 1/2 of the food plots and some CRP enhancement and 1 wildlife guzzler
  • Wallace County received 1/2 of the food plots, some CRP enhancement and 2 wildlife guzzlers

2005

  • We planted and/or provided seed for 109 acres of food plots
  • Performed strip disking and interseeded with alfalfa and clover on 340 acres of CRP with cooperation from Wildlife & Parks
  • Cost shared on 10 wildlife guzzlers
  • We gave money for a tree planting
  • We purchased a tree planter and fabric machine
  • Cheyenne County received the CRP enhancement and was the location for a tree planting cooperator as well as a wildlife guzzler cooperator
  • Wallace County had 7 wildlife guzzler cooperators and just under 1/2 of the food plot acres

2004

  • We planted and/or provided seed for 148 acres of food plots.
  • Performed strip disking on just less than 100 CRP acres.
  • Interseeded CRP acres with alfalfa mix. Over 950 acres were the drilled acres which were done with cooperation from Wildlife & Parks.
  • Cost shared on 5 wildlife guzzlers.
  • Cheyenne County received 1/2 the CRP enhancement and did receive some money for a food plot planting.
  • Wallace County received money for a tree planting and we cost shared for 3 wildlife guzzlers and just under 1/2 of the food plot acres.

2003

  • We gave money to 2 cooperators for tree plantings.
  • Planted and/or provided seed for 70 acres of food plots.
  • Interseeded CRP acres with alfalfa mix. 418 acres were the drilled acres.

2002

  • We gave money to 2 cooperators for tree plantings.
  • Planted and/or provide seed for over 265 acres of food plots.
  • Interseeded CRP acres with alfalfa. 55 acres were the drilled acres.

2001

  • Planted and/or provided seed for over 150 acres of good plots.
  • Began plans for 2002 season.
