On behalf of the High Plains Roosters Chapter #663 of Pheasants Forever, welcome and thank you for visiting our website. It is great to have you here in support of habitat, conservation, and youth programs. We are a local chapter of Pheasants Forever in Northwest Kansas. Pheasants Forever is a 501(3)c charitable organization. Your donations are tax deductible.
The money we raise is used to help make a difference for habitat and conservation in our surrounding area. We are devoted to our youth programs and support our children in becoming well versed in hunting as well as protecting the hunting environment of the future. Those programs we help sponsor include Youth Hunting, Outdoor Youth Skills Day, 4-H Shooting Sports, and Hunter Safety. Our funding is often dovetailed with other organizations. Wildlife & Parks has been a valuable partner for habitat projects. We have a Wild Trust (MOA) agreement with them which they match our funds. This program is organized by Wildlife & Parks and implemented by Conservation Districts in each county. These funds can be used for food plot plantings, strip disking and some types of tree plantings, etc. Please contact your local District Conservationist from NRCS, Wildlife & Parks representative or a Pheasants Forever representative.
Spread out across Sherman County, Cheyenne County, and Wallace County we continue to help with several cost share programs for food plots, wildlife eaters, and new trees. A tree planter, a fabric machine, and an 8ft Truax grass drill are available for rent by contacting Melvin Crow at 785-821-2607. Cooperators are welcome to use these tools for their projects.
Connect with Pheasants Forever at www.pheasantsforever.org . Again, thank you for your continued support!
